Monkeyshine

Monkeyshine is a UK Toy Store specialising in high quality, stylish products for children under 10. It has a fantastic range of traditional toys including old fashioned wooden toys, energetic outdoor toys and stimulating toys for babies and toddlers that promote learning and development. It also stocks superb ranges of chic European nursery furniture and children’s furniture including innovative toy storage solutions and award winning products to make life easier for parents and kids.

Online sales were being achieved using a managed package, which was becoming increasingly restrictive. Its proprietor wanted to move to better-featured package with scope for further extensions to accommodate his ambitious plans for expanding the business and its marketing. After reviewing the market, he selected Zen Cart.

We designed and built the site, drawing colours from the company's logo and integrating work from a talented illustrator, Brooke Lucy Gill. To achieve the look and functionality that we wanted and the client's forward-looking ideas, we re-designed several of Zen Cart's listing pages, re-wrote the checkout process and created a custom search by age facility. Work behind the scenes included integrating Google Analytics and tailoring a submission module for Google Products which led to Monkeyshine dominating the first few pages for some its key products.
